Coat of arms of the Barons Wurzbach-Tannenberg in Žale Cemetery
LJUBLJANA, ŽALE CEMETERY
Location of the coat of arms: tombstone
Apart from Črni Potok Mansion near Litija and a house at Gradišče (Gradische; demolished in the early 1960s) in Ljubljana, the Wurzbach baronial line also owned a tomb at Holy Cross Church (in Žale Cemetery), which was transferred from the old Saint Christopher’s Cemetery and held the remains of not only many older family members but also younger ones from the female line that no longer bore the family name Wurzbach. The Wurzbachs’ baronial coat of arms is carved in the upper part of the tombstone.
