HRASTOVEC PRI VELENJU, TURN CASTLE
Location of the coat of arms: portal
In 1622, Franz Welzer sold Turn Castle to Friedrich von Gabelkoven, who also owned nearby Soteska Castle (Helfenberg) and Dobrova Castle (Gutenhart). His son and successor, Adam Seyfried (1622–1702), an Inner Austrian government councilor, most likely had the castle partially rebuilt and rearranged about 1678, as may be gathered from his coat of arms and that of his wife Anna Maria, née Baroness von Gaisruck (1635–1688), carved in the façade above the castle entrance next to the aforementioned inscription of the year, and the following initials running below the coats of arms: A[dam] S[eyfried] F[reiherr] V[on] G[ablkoven] Z[um] H[elfenberg] T[hurn] G[utenhart] A[nna] M[aria] F[reiin] V[on] G[ablkoven] G[eborene] F[reiin] V[on] G[aisruck].
